Chunky Crock Pot Pumpkin Apple Butter

This chunky version combines fresh apples, pumpkin, apple juice, honey, and spices. Use as a spread on toast or on cake slices.
Ingredients
- 10 C apples (peeled & cubed)
- 1 can solid pack pumpkin (15 oz size)
- 2 C apple juice or cider
- 1 1/2 C honey
- 2 T ground cinnamon
- 1/2 T ground cloves
- 1/4 T salt

Method
Use any kind of apples. Combine all in a crock pot or slow cooker; mix well. Cook on low for 14-15 hours. Freeze in 2 cup portions, if you like.
Notes: Great autumn treat and a way to use up all of those apples!
