Easy Slow Cooker Roast

A beef roast is cooked in the crock pot with onions, mushrooms, bacon & cream of mushroom soup, and seasoned with Worcestershire, garlic & bay leaf.
 

Ingredients

  • 3-4 lb lean beef roast, trimmed of fat
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can mushrooms or 1/2 cup fresh sliced
  • 2 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 bay leaf
 
Method

Place roast in slow cooker, cutting if necessary to fit. (It may be browned before in a large skillet, but is not necessary.) Combine all other ingredients and pour over roast. Cook on low heat setting for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5.

 

Notes: Serve with mashed potatoes or rice and a crisp green salad.
