Noodles in the slow cooker ????

I have read that if you put nooles in the crock pot or slow cooker that they get mushy? Has anyone tried a recipe with noodles added to it? Should you add the noodles right away or should you wait and add them last at a later time? I would hate to go through all the preparation of getting the meal ready and cook it and have it mushy ....I guess I mean to say: I hate wasting food...Sherry8

Like my taco soup..You can put  noodle in..When i make that taco soup i combine everthing in the pot..Then add some water for the noodles they will dry out or stick to the crockpot. And stir a few times they will not lumpy. In a few hours turn it down on medium.keep your eye on it and stir it.from teddie...p.s.i hope this helps..angel

Teddie...do you add the noodles right away or do you go back and add them later after a couple hours? Plus, are the noodles mixed in or in their own layer?...Sherry8
