Purchased, prepared meatballs are heated in Italian pasta sauce in the crock pot with Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of the frozen, already-cooked Italian meatballs (16 oz.) [or if you want to use 2 bags, that's great]
  • 2 Large jars of Italian cooking sauce
  • Parmesan cheese, to taste (at least 1 cup)
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Hot cooked pasta

Method

Place some of the sauce in the bottom of a 4-quart (or larger) crock pot. Add some of the meatballs and continue to layer till everything is in. Cook on low heat setting for 6-7 hours (If you want them cooked faster, place on high heat setting for 3 to 3 1/2 hours.) After about half of the cooking time, gently stir 1 cup of parmesan cheese into the mixture. About an hour before it's done, add the mozzarella cheese, stirring some into the meatball mixture and leaving some on top. Serve over pasta.

Notes: Great to have when company is coming. Easy as 1-2-3.

Number of Servings: 6 servings
