Old-Fashioned Rice Pudding

Use your slow cooker to prepare this favorite. Instant rice and milk with brown sugar, butter, eggs, raisins, and spice combine for just the right flavor.
 

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cups scalded milk
  • 1-3/4 cups instant rice
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 T. soft butter
  • 2 t. vanilla
  • 1/2 t. nutmeg
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup raisins

Method

Combine rice with all ingredients and pour into lightly buttered crockpot. Cover and cook on high for 1-1/2 to 2 hours, stirring often during the first 30 minutes.

 

Notes: You can use regular rice in place of the instant and cook it first.
