Red Wine Pot Roast


Red wine marinates this roast while it simply cooks throughout the day. What a great flavor.



Ingredients:

  • 4-5 lb roast
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 3-4 pinches bay leaves  
  • Thyme to taste
  • Oregano to taste
  • 1 package dried onion soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 1 1/2 cups red wine

Method

Brown roast evenly in olive oil on high heat. Place all ingredients in crock-pot and cook on high for 7-8 hours.
