
Sliced turkey kielbasa is cooked in the crock pot with celery, onion and bell pepper in a sauce of celery soup, Dijon, honey and ground red pepper.
Place sliced turkey kielbasi or smoked sausage in crock pot with diced celery, onion and peppers. Combine mustard, soup, honey and pepper in medium saucepan over medium heat until it bubbles. Pour over kielbasi and vegetables in crock pot. I usually cook this 5 hours on low because I don't want to overcook the vegetables, I like them to have a crisp-tender texture.
Notes:
I love turkey kielbasi and this resembles a stir-fry and has the New Orleans trilogy: onions, peppers and celery. I like to use the soup instead of making a roux. I guess this is "Polish meets Cajun in one pot."
