Simmered Pork

This easy 4-ingredient slow cooker recipe combines apple, pork chops, salsa, and cumin.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 1 16-ounce jar Pineapple-Peach salsa
  • 2 tsp ground cumin

Method

Dice apple, leaving skin on, and place at bottom of slow cooker. Place pork chops on top of apple. Sprinkle chops with cumin. Pour one jar salsa over the top. Add one cup water. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 8 to 9 hours or on high-heat setting for 4 to 4 1/2 hours. Serve with hot cooked rice.

 

Notes: If you like your food on the spicy side... I finely chop up 1/3 of a habanera chili pepper and place on top after salsa.
