Vivacious Venison

Venison will always come out moist and tender when slow cooked in a crockpot with red wine, beef broth and onion soup mix.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs venison
  • 1 pkg dry onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup dry red wine
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup Wondra flour
 
Method

Whisk broth, wine and soup in bowl. Poke meat all over with sharp knife. Pour liquid over venison in crock-pot. Bake on low for 8 to 10 hours. Remove meat from pot. Increase heat to high. Heat remaining beef broth in microwave 2 minutes. Add to liquid in pot. Whisk in flour to make gravy.

 

Notes: Serve over noodles or with mashed potatoes.
